Hi all!
Well I hope everyone had a great weekend – mine was very busy & eventful. I had photoshoots both Saturday & Sunday.
Saturday’s shoot was bright & early in the morning : 9am !! Unfortunately I didn’t get to sleep in, but hey what can you do, right?
Both scheduled models cancelled last minute (one of them cancelled two days before the shoot, and the other one on the day of) YES it was very stressful finding suitable models. Thankfully one of the models I worked with before was able to come down for the photoshoot (& she’s a fabulous model too! – Angelica Morjaria) and she fit the theme of the shoot perfectly too.
Also, i’m very thankful to Nisreen from Fresh Inc Henna for calling her flight-attendant-model-friend Cristabell to come out for the photoshoot – & it took Cristabell only 45mins to come over to my place to get made up for the photoshoot!
Unfortunately I don’t have any behind-the-scenes pictures from Saturday to share with you all. I was too busy making up the girls, taking care of the wardrobe, and Nisreen was busy putting henna on both models. Model makeup is different from party and special events makeup – it requires more contouring, highlighting, sculpting the face, making eyes more prominent, using the right kind of foundation, etc…i.e it takes longer than party makeup! We were running 2 hours behind schedule and the photographer (Mittens Photography) was already at the shooting location waiting for us!
Long story short, the shoot went well and I think every team member got atleast a few good pictures out of it. It was very tiring and exhausting.
I haven’t recieved the proofs yet, but will post them when I recieve them.
Also Saturday night, I did a mini makeover on one of my friends. Stay tuned for the before & after pictures!
