So I was at the International Makeup Artist Trade Show this past weekend – it was GREAT! I bought a ton of goodies, met some makeup gurus, & attended a couple of workshops/sessions.
I’ll start off with the items I purchased:
Brush belt from Royal & Lagnickel booth – brushes were not included, I bought those seperately from the Royal brushes, and the Crown brushes booth.
Waterproof setting powder from Kryolan.
Kryolan eyeshadow pallette in ‘Abu Dhabi’. – the shadows are highly pigmented and can be used for stage makeup, TV, Film, etc.
Lip tar in ‘Memento‘ from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. I also bought the lip tars in Vintage, & Plum. These are the most genius lip products on the market: you only need a tiny amount to cover your entire lip. Highly pigmented, AMAZING colour payoff, and they last a very long time on your lips.
Bonus: they are 100% vegan!
Eve Pearl eyeshadow pallette in ‘Sapphire Eyes’. I also bought a lip gloss from the booth – haven’t used it on anyone yet, but it looks great.
Eve Pearl was there herself =) !
A few other things I bought for my professional kit (but didn’t take pictures of):
Makeup Forever 10pan eyeshadow palette. The eyeshadows are highly pigmented, long lasting and very easy to blend. A lot of artists like MUFE eyeshadows better than MAC.
Yaby 20 well palette. It’s an empty magnetic palette – I’m going to de-pot some of my pigments & add them to the palette.
Face Atelier recently released new shades for women of colour – I had to get them 🙂 I picked up # 8, 10, 11, Heat, & 0++
Heat is an adjuster – to make a foundation more yellow
O++ is a colour adjuster to go darker
I got a couple of things for my personal kit: NYX black eyeliner, NYX pigment in ‘Seclude’, NYX Megashine Lipgloss in ‘Sugar Pie’, NYX jumbo pencil in ‘Black Bean’
