Coming up: The look I did from CK makeup products!

Hi all!

I received a request from Ace Gifts Plus Inc. to review makeup products from Calvin Klein. I was very excited because it was my first time ever trying out makeup products from CK.

The products in the giftset included the following:

• Tempting glimmer sheer creme eyeshadow (2 in quantity : 1 Torquoise Blue, 1 Snakeskin Silver)
•  Defining eye pencil (in True Navy)
• True lashes volumizing mascara
• Flush with desire blush
• Delicious true sheer lipstick (in Contrast)
• Fully delicious plumping lipgloss (in Euphoria)

The creme eyeshadows are highly pigmented, apply very smoothly, and are definately long lasting. They have glitter (which shows up in flash) and looks very beautiful. I really like these eye shadows because they really are long lasting and do not fade. The ‘Torquoise Blue’ is mis-named however – there is nothing ‘torquoise’ about it. It is a light blue/ sky blue.

The eye pencil is enriched with Vitamin C & E, applies VERY smoothly, and doesn’t fade. Once again, great product! I think it is difficult to find a great ‘jet black’ eye liner. I still don’t have a favourite, but I see potential in the CK eye pencil – I have to try the black eye pencil now!

Calvin Klein describes the mascara as opthomologist tested, smudge resistant, & lengthening. I have to say it is better than the Clinique and Perspectives mascara I use on myself. It did give my lashes good length but I wouldn’t say it is the best one out there.

I love the blush! Love the colour and the texture. Also, it is dermatology & allergy tested.
The sheer lipstick is very moisturizing. I like that it doesn’t dry my lips like MAC lipsticks (even when I wear lipbalm underneath)

The lipgloss is my favorite product in the kit. I am really not sure how much it plumps my lips, but I absolutely love the colour, the fact that it is so moisturizing, and the shine. It makes the lips look very smooth!

Overall, I was very impressed by the Calvin Klein makeup products. I recommend them to all readers =)
